Seminar information: A two-part seminar.  The first part follows the Ins and Outs of Pedigree Analysis, Genetic Diversity, and Genetic Disease Control article (http://clubs.akc.org/wtca/health/health_bell_1.pdf), but is based on Labradoodle pedigrees.  It will be based on my analysis of a Labradoodle pedigree database, registration statistics, and pedigree analysis of the most influential Labradoodle dogs and bitches.  It will discuss genetic diversity in the breed, how the selection of mates and types of matings manipulates the genes of the ancestors in the pedigree, and popular sire syndrome.  A question and answer period will close this part.

The second part will discuss the genetic disorders affecting the Labradoodle, with updates from my conversations with any pertinent researchers. If you have conducted a breed health survey, I will analyze it in relation to what is seen in the field.  The talk will cover the different types of genetic tests, their availability, and their proper use.  It will include breeding recommendations to manage different types of genetic disorders. A question and answer period will follow.

Our group name is “Australian Labradoodle Association of America.” Room blocks and rates are available From October 18th, to October 22nd, 2017!

The deadline to book is September 19th, 2017 or until the room block is sold out, whichever comes first. Space is limited, so register early!!! I am sure this event is going to sell out!! Each attendee is responsible for booking their own reservation.  If you do not reserve your room before September 19th, 2017 or they are sold-out, your room will be subject to the normal room rates and availability.
